Empowering Trade Through Vouchers (Nakuru Branch)

Our Nakuru community can now trade using vouchers instead of money. This means members can easily exchange their skills, products, or services for what they need, even when cash isn’t available. With vouchers, everyone has something valuable to share whether it’s farm produce, poultry, transport services, or any other skill. This system helps members access goods and services they cannot produce themselves, while building a supportive network of collaboration.

A farmer can exchange fresh vegetables or maize for vouchers, which they later use to buy poultry products from another member. A poultry keeper, in turn, might use their vouchers to pay for taxi services, making it easier to deliver goods to the market. A taxi driver can then use their vouchers to purchase farm produce for their family. This cycle of exchange ensures that no effort goes to waste and that everyone in the community benefits.
